Senior Engineer – LCC HVDC Control and Protection Systems

About the role

This role serves as a technical consultant and gatekeeper, ensuring design excellence, leading state-of-the-art technology improvements, and mentoring the next generation of engineering talent.

What you'll do

• Serve as the recognised expert in LCC HVDC control and protection systems, both internally and externally
• Lead the authoring, review, and governance of system-level and functional requirements for LCC HVDC systems
• Own validation strategies for functional requirements, ensuring performance, reliability, and safety standards are met
• Direct the creation and maintenance of high-quality design specifications across complex sub-systems
• Drive internal and external standardisation, including representation in IEC, CIGRE, and similar professional bodies
