What you'll do

• This is a role for someone who is both a skilled bench scientist and a people leader who takes genuine pride in the quality of their team's output
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of 4-5 histopathology technicians — managing daily workflow, setting quality standards, and building bench capability across the team
• Oversee the complete histopathology process: tissue grossing, fixation, embedding, sectioning, H&E and special staining, IHC, and final slide QC before pathologist review
• Implement and monitor internal QC programmes; maintain accurate documentation, TAT tracking, and compliance with SOPs, safety protocols, and accreditation requirements
• Maintain and troubleshoot histopathology equipment (microtomes, tissue processors, embedding stations, stainers); coordinate preventive maintenance, calibration
