About the role

The Senior Machinery Engineer is part of the ENGINE Operations R&I Machinery Engineering team within Chevron’s ENGINE Center and provides machinery engineering consulting services to Chevron Business Units, including joint venture refineries across various pieces of machinery equipment, including but not limited to centrifugal and positive displacement pumping systems, reciprocating compressor systems, and the design of onshore and offshore lifting devices.

What you'll do

  • Provides technical support for gas turbines, centrifugal and positive displacement pumping systems, reciprocating compressor systems
  • Consults on pump and mechanical seal selection and performance evaluation
  • Consults on reciprocating compressor performance evaluation and operational troubleshooting
  • Contributes to Machinery Research & Development projects
  • Influences and collaborates with customers to solve technical problems with the best risk-based solution

What you need
