Senior Manager - Underwriting

About the role

The Property and Engineering Underwriter is responsible for evaluating and underwriting property and engineering insurance risks. This role involves assessing the potential risks associated with various property and engineering projects, determining appropriate coverage, terms, and pricing, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

What you'll do

• Analyze and evaluate proposals of property and engineering risks based on detailed reports, site inspections, and technical data
• If required, seek relevant underwriting information about the risk and communicate the same with sales team, risk engineers, brokers and clients as per the requirement
• Understand and comply with underwriting guidelines for property and engineering risks
• Determine appropriate price, coverage, terms, and conditions for proposals, based on risk assessment, market conditions and company guidelines within stipulated timeline
• Monitor and manage the portfolio of underwritten risks to ensure profitability and compliance with company standards
