Senior Postgres Platform Engineer

About the role

Hyderabad, Telangana, India; Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Evaluates new database technologies and tools in the industry. Sets database system administration and programming standards, applies database technology to business problems, manages development and production database environments with emphasis on security, availability, and performance.

What you'll do

• Work with a global database engineering team to deliver self-healing database infrastructure using Ansible, pgVector, Kubernetes and agentic coding patterns
• Design and operate PostgreSQL clusters at scale - replication, partitioning, connection pooling, VACUUM tuning, WAL management
• Deploy and manage PostgreSQL on Kubernetes using operators (CloudNativePG, Patroni) with automated failover, persistent storage optimization, and pod disruption budgets
• Build Ansible-based automation for provisioning, patching, upgrades and disaster recovery
• Optimize pgVector workloads - IVFFlat/HNSW index tuning, dimensionality planning, ANN search performance - for AI/ML embedding pipelines
