Senior Staff Engineer

About the role

Senior Staff Engineer at Arcadia. Act as the floating technical SME across Core Engineering squads, embedding where the hardest current problem is and moving on once the team is self-sufficient.

What you'll do

• Act as the floating technical SME across Core Engineering squads, embedding where the hardest current problem is and moving on once the team is self-sufficient
• Review and approve component and service designs, sharing design authority with squad leads so that architecture approval stops being a single-person bottleneck
• Own the design of complex, cross-service changes spanning multiple owners — provider data model changes, extraction pipeline evolution, migrations
• Write production code on the critical path. This is a hands-on role; you will be in the repositories, not only in documents
• Set and raise the bar on non-functional
