Senior Water Resources Modelling Engineer

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of complex hydrologic and hydraulic modelling assignments, flood risk management studies, climate resilience initiatives, river engineering projects, and integrated water resources management programs for domestic and international clients.

What you'll do

• Lead the development, calibration, validation, and interpretation of hydrologic and hydraulic models using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D)
• Manage and deliver Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Flood Forecasting & Early Warning Systems (FFEWS), watershed management, river engineering, and urban stormwater projects
• Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, including rainfall-runoff modelling, river hydraulics, floodplain management, drainage design, dam break assessments
• Perform advanced geospatial analysis using ArcGIS/QGIS , including DEM processing, terrain analysis, flood inundation mapping, and spatial database management
• Lead the preparation of flood hazard, flood depth, flood velocity, and flood risk mapping deliverables
