About the role

The Linux/Unix L3 Subject Matter Expert is responsible for advanced administration, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, engineering, and operational support of enterprise Linux and Unix workstation environments. The role provides Tier 3 technical leadership, drives automation and compliance, supports platform lifecycle activities, and works closely with support teams and customers to improve service reliability and performance.

What you'll do

• Provide Tier 3 support for complex Linux/Unix workstation, operating system, application, service, and protocol issues
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions
• Manage escalations from L1 and L2 support teams and provide technical guidance through resolution
• Build, configure, test, monitor, and maintain production Linux/Unix services and workstation environments
• Create and maintain hardened, optimized golden images for physical and virtual Linux desktops

What you need

• 7–10 yrs of experience
• Linux
• Shell scripting
• Root cause analysis
• B.Tech or B.E.
