Mainframe IMS Database Administrator (IMS DBA) An IMS Database Administrator (IMS DBA) should possess the following

What you'll do

  • Administer and maintain IMS databases (Full Function, HALDB, Fast Path, DEDB)
  • Create, modify, and manage DBDs, PSBs, ACBs, and Format definitions
  • Database Maintenance & Recovery
  • Perform database initialization, load, reorganization (REORG), backup, restore, and recovery activities
  • Manage DBRC, forward recovery, checkpoint/restart processes, and disaster recovery support
