What you'll do
- Analyze and resolve severe database bottlenecks, high latency, lock contention, blockings, and deadlocks across enterprise OLTP and OLAP systems
- Monitor dynamic performance views (pg_stat_statements, pg_stat_activity, V$, DBA_, AWR, ADDM
- Architect and implement table partitioning, indexing, materialization, and caching strategies
- Analyze complex EXPLAIN (ANALYZE, BUFFERS) execution plans to optimize slow queries, rewrite inefficient SQL, and design optimal indexing strategies (B-Tree, GIN, GiST
- Monitoring, Reliability & Observability
