Staff Platform Engineer

About the role

Hevo's platform moves and transforms data for thousands of customers, around the clock. We're looking for a Staff Platform Engineer to own the reliability, scalability, and observability of the infrastructure that makes that possible — a senior, hands-on engineer who can both operate at depth in AWS and Kubernetes and set technical direction for the broader Platform/DevOps function.

What you'll do

• Design and evolve our observability stack — metrics, logs, traces, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, and error budgets
• Lead incident management: on-call rotations, blameless postmortems, and systematically reducing MTTA/MTTR
• Drive infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform, Ansible) and own CI/CD pipeline design
• Architect and operate Kubernetes clusters at scale — upgrades, autoscaling, cost optimization, multi-tenant workloads
• Own network architecture and security posture for cloud infrastructure (VPCs, load balancers, service mesh, zero-trust networking)

What you need

• AWS
• Kubernetes
• Terraform
• CI/CD
• Ansible
• GCP
• Any graduate

Good to have

• Data privacy
• Grafana
• Python
• Bash
• Jenkins
