About the role

Staff Software Engineer - DSP FW at MaxLinear. The Staff SW Engineer - DSP FW role involves developing embedded firmware for MaxLinear SoCs, including low-level drivers, boot code, RTOS-based software.

What you'll do

  • The position requires expertise in C/C++, RTOS (ThreadX/FreeRTOS), ARM/Tensilica processors, and digital signal processing for communication systems
  • The engineer will work closely with ASIC, algorithm, and systems teams, while also focusing on debugging, performance optimization, code reviews
  • Develop FW to exercise the HW data paths
  • Develop FW to implement DSP algorithms
  • Participate in peer code and design reviews and Unit testing
