Staff Software Engineer

About the role

You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment owning technical solutions for broad and complex integration challenges, helping accelerate how project44 connects to the world's logistics networks. This role carries deeper technical ownership and cross-team influence than our Senior Software Engineer track, and is expected to shape strategy for their team's systems while mentoring engineers beyond their immediate team.

What you'll do

• Own the design and technical direction for state-of-the-art integrations that expand our ever-growing network of connected carriers and customers
• Manage integrations through their full life cycle, and drive how your team monitors, operates, and improves the supply chain visibility platform it owns
• Own data-consistency and change-propagation guarantees for shared master data
• Design resilient integrations with external, non-p44 API providers — handling rate limits, retries, and circuit-breaking for third-party and regulatory data sources
• Build systems in a multi-cloud environment (we use AWS and GCP; experience with other clouds such as Azure is valued)
