Subsea Pipeline Engineer

About the role

The Senior Subsea Pipeline Engineer is part of the Subsea, Civil, and Marine Engineering Team within the Chevron ENGINE Center, supporting Upstream Major Capital Projects and Base Business globally. The role focuses on installation engineering and offshore construction execution for rigid and flexible subsea pipelines, while also providing hands-on technical support for Base Business pipeline operational issues.

What you'll do

• Develop and review installation design basis, analysis reports, method statements, installation philosophies, engineering calculations, operating envelopes
• Perform and independently review subsea pipeline installation analyses for rigid and flexible pipelines using software such as OrcaFlex and where applicable Offpipe
• Evaluate pipeline stresses, buckling, fatigue, installation feasibility and constructability, considering pipeline configuration, boundary conditions
• Assess installation activities including initiation/laydown, abandonment and recovery, pull-in, lowering/landing, lifting and rigging, and installation fatigue
• Review installation equipment and interface requirements, including tensioners, stingers or lay systems, reels, abandonment and recovery equipment, pull-in systems

What you need

• 10–18 yrs of experience

• Any graduate
