Supplier Quality & Development Engineer Senior

About the role

The Senior Supplier Quality and Development Engineer leads supplier quality and development initiatives across the global supply base for Corporate Supplier Quality and Development in India. This role supports sourcing and supply chain optimization projects by applying quality engineering expertise to improve supplier performance, reduce risk, and meet business goals.

What you'll do

• Conduct supplier assessments for current and potential suppliers, identify risks, and drive corrective actions and development plans
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and scorecards, and lead improvement plans to meet quality, safety, and delivery expectations
• Lead supplier quality activities including capacity assessments, APQP, PPAP, corrective and preventive actions, and process improvement initiatives
• Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers on technical quality issues, sourcing projects, and supply chain optimization efforts
• Mentor plant quality staff, supplier quality engineers, and suppliers on quality systems, best practices, and problem-solving tools

What you need

• 10–18 yrs of experience

• Root cause analysis
• B.Tech or B.E.
