About the role

Thermal System Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the gas turbine component thermal analysis, secondary air system and oil system design & analysis activities within the turbojet & turbofan development programs. This role requires expert knowledge in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, gas turbine propulsion, planning for projects and ability to develop individuals.

What you'll do

Carry out component thermal analysis simulations for thermal mapping of the engine
Carry out steady and transient thermal & secondary flows assessment in gas turbine engine components
Carry out sizing and design studies for the oil / lubrication system, seals, sump, bearings & pumps
Develop numerical and experimental methods for method verification and validation
Support other team members, develop junior engineers and provide constructive feedback
