Vice President, India Payroll

About the role

BlackRock’s Global Payroll & Employment Tax function is a critical, high-impact team responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services across the organization. The team operates within a robust governance framework, partnering closely with Human Resources, Finance, Tax, and external vendors to ensure adherence to global standards, local regulatory requirements, and a strong control environment.

What you'll do

• Lead and oversee the end-to-end India payroll function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Manage and ensure compliance with all India statutory regulations, including PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, gratuity, and income tax
• Lead and mentor a high-performing payroll team, driving accountability, capability building, and a culture of continuous improvement
• Drive automation and process optimization initiatives to enhance payroll systems, reporting, and operational efficiency
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with HR (Benefits, Mobility, HRBPs), Finance (FP&A, Controllers, Accounting)
