What you'll do

Perform electric arc welding (SMAW) operations on structural metal components as per specifications
Read and interpret basic engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
Prepare and clean metal surfaces prior to welding using grinders, cutters, and wire brushes
Set up and adjust electric arc welding machines, electrode holders, cables, and current/amperage settings
Inspect completed welds for defects, cracks, or joint alignment errors
