About the role
We are seeking an experienced Chemical Lab Supervisor to oversee chemical laboratory operations at a steel manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for supervising laboratory personnel, conducting and monitoring chemical composition analysis of steel and ensuring testing accuracy, and maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
What you'll do
- Supervise daily chemical laboratory operations and manage laboratory technicians
- Conduct and oversee chemical composition analysis of steel, alloys, raw materials, and finished products
- Perform spectrometric analysis using Optical Emission Spectrometers (OES) and other relevant laboratory equipment
- Monitor chemical testing of molten metal, ingots, billets, and forged steel products
- Ensure chemical compositions meet required material specifications and quality standards
