AML Investigator

About the role

As an AML Investigator, you will play a key role in identifying, investigating, and mitigating financial crime risks within a global digital asset environment. You will assess referrals involving unusual or suspicious activity, determine potential exposure, and make well-supported decisions on appropriate actions.

What you'll do

• Investigate unusual activity referrals, evaluate potential financial crime exposure
• Conduct investigations assigned by the Head of the Investigation Team to assess suspicious activity and identify potential exposure to financial crime risks
• Evaluate investigation findings and determine whether activity warrants the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) or Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs)
• Ensure investigations and reporting decisions are completed within relevant regulatory deadlines and jurisdictional requirements
• Document findings through clear, structured, and evidence-based reasoning, including recommendations to close referrals when activity is determined not to be suspicious
