AML Investigator

About the role

As an AML Investigator, you will play a key role in protecting the integrity and security of a global digital asset trading environment. You will investigate unusual and potentially suspicious activities, assess financial crime risks, and determine whether cases require regulatory reporting or can be closed with documented justification.

What you'll do

• Conduct thorough investigations into unusual and potentially suspicious activities referred to the Compliance team
• Assess financial crime risks, including money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations, within digital asset transactions and customer activities
• Determine whether investigated cases warrant the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) or Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs)
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports in accordance with applicable legal requirements and jurisdiction-specific reporting timelines
• Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures, including account closures, restrictions, or freezing of funds where necessary and legally applicable
