Architect - Traffic and Security

About the role

Traffic Engineering powers secure, scalable, highly available traffic systems that support eBay’s global commerce platform. • Architect and deliver rate limiting and bot mitigation solutions across edge/service layers in partnership with Security
• Design and build high-performance, low-latency distributed systems using C/C++ and Go (Java in relevant components as needed)
• Drive Kubernetes networking and platform patterns at scale, including CNI integrations, service mesh, IPAM , and production-grade deployment models
• Own technical tradeoffs across performance, scalability, reliability, security, operability, maintainability, and delivery timelines
