Assistant Manager – Indirect Tax

About the role

You will track sales and tax exposure, determine registration needs with the Head of Finance, assess permanent establishment (PE) risk, manage monthly sales tax/VAT/GST reporting and filing, and build a network of external advisors and registration agents. you will help set up the processes, controls, and tools the function runs on.

What you'll do

• Get sales tax/VAT/GST registrations done where needed globally, directly or through external agents, and maintain a register of tax IDs and filing deadlines
• Prepare an initial view on whether a permanent establishment (PE) is needed in a country and validate it with external advisors
• Prepare monthly/quarterly sales tax/VAT/GST reports, reconcile them to the books, and ensure returns are filed and paid on time
• Identify, compare, and manage vendors and advisors who can assist with registrations and filings
• Track sales tax/VAT/GST changes (rates, thresholds, rules) in registered countries and states, and update setup and processes accordingly
