Associate, Construction Accounting

About the role

The Construction Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial management, reporting, and controls associated with construction, development, and capital projects across a real estate portfolio. This role ensures the accurate tracking of project costs, commitments, contracts, invoices, draws, and capitalization activity while partnering closely with development, project management, and finance teams.

What you'll do

• Month-End Close and Financial Reporting
• Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and year-end general ledger close for assigned portfolio of properties related to construction accounts and activities
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations related to construction activity
• Assist in preparing internal financial reports and analysis for financial and development leadership
• Project and Job Cost Accounting
