About the role

Responsible for leading the design, engineering, and integration of battery packs into electric vehicles (EVs), ensuring optimal mechanical performance, safety, manufacturability, and compliance with standards. Collaborates across cross-functional teams (thermal, electrical, testing, production) to develop world-class battery solutions for next-gen EV platforms.

What you'll do

• Own the mechanical design, packaging, and integration of battery systems, from concept to production ramp-up
• Collaborate with electrical, thermal, and embedded system teams to define and optimize battery interfaces for safety, reliability, and performance
• Lead CAD modeling, simulation, and prototype development of battery enclosures and mounting structures (using tools like SolidWorks/Siemens NX)
• Develop and validate mechanical, thermal, and structural aspects of battery packs including housing, cell retention, connectors, harness, and electronic integration
• Ensure robust mechanical integration for high-voltage isolation, crashworthiness, water ingress protection, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
