About the role
The position of Chief Resident Engineer - Lifts & Escalators is the key position in these BIDs.
What you'll do
- Supervise installation of Lifts and Escalators as per approved layout, shaft dimensions, and GAD
- Ensure compliance with EN 81-20/50 for Lifts, EN 115 for Escalators, NBC, Lift Act, EIG/CEIG and Metro specifications
- Monitor power supply, earthing, BMS interface, fireman's switch, seismic and fire requirements
- Manage all tests - Insulation, Earthing, Brake, Safety gear, Overspeed governor, Load test, Rescue operation, Escalator brake & step chain tests
- Daily/weekly reporting of progress, bottlenecks, safety issues and risks to Project Manager / Team Leader
