Corporate Compliance Manager

About the role

What You'll Do The Corporate Compliance Manager plays a key role in Avalara's Corporate Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program by executing, monitoring, and continuously improving risk-based compliance processes and controls. Working closely with the Director, Corporate Compliance and cross-functional stakeholders, you will support compliance activities across the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States, and Canada.

What you'll do

• Be Execute risk-based Corporate Compliance and AML processes aligned to company standards and jurisdiction-specific requirements
• Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), customer risk assessments, and account approval support
• Complete sanctions screening, adverse media screening, and Politically Exposed Person (PEP) screening against relevant lists, document outcomes
• Conduct transaction monitoring and support the review, investigation, escalation, and documentation of suspicious activity matters
• Support the development, review, and maintenance of AML and Corporate Compliance policies, procedures, and controls
