Credit Risk Analyst

About the role

DOES ( The tasks / responsibilities that the role performs to address requirements in Key Result Areas) Acquisition Policy Development & Optimization: Analyze and assess creditworthiness of potential eligible base (EB) using various data sources, and internal scoring models. Contribute to the development, implementation, and refinement of acquisition credit risk strategies and eligibility policies.

What you'll do

• Monitor the effectiveness of current credit strategies and recommend adjustments based on portfolio performance, market trends, and risk appetite
• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to loan originations, and early portfolio performance
• Develop and maintain regular reports on key risk indicators (KRIs), EBs and disbursements, take up rates, and other relevant metrics
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Monitor the credit quality of newly originated loans and identify emerging risk trends
