Deputy General Manager - Design - Mechanical

About the role

To lead the design and engineering of shipboard piping systems for Naval and Commercial shipbuilding projects, from concept design through detailed engineering and production support.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of shipboard piping systems for Naval and Commercial shipbuilding projects, covering Bilge, Ballast, Fuel Oil, Lubricating Oil
• Oversee concept, basic and detailed engineering, ensuring effective system design, integration and compliance with project requirements
• Prepare and review P&IDs, piping layouts, 3D models, equipment arrangements, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings and associated technical documentation
• Drive piping routing, equipment integration, clash detection and space management, ensuring design feasibility and production requirements are addressed
• Review engineering calculations relating to flow, pressure drop, pipe sizing and overall system performance

What you need

• 15–20 yrs of experience
• AutoCAD
• HVAC
• System design
• Fabrication
• B.Tech or B.E.

• Mechanical engineering
