About the role

This role acts as a strategic partner ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws, HR policies, and organizational standards. The HR Manager will also support talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, and culture-building initiatives across CIMMYT India. The location of this position will be Delhi.

What you'll do

• Act as an HR partner to Country Management and Program Leaders, providing guidance on staffing needs, workforce planning, staff development and HR policies
• Manage recruitment and selection processes for Locally Recruited Staff (LRS), including job descriptions, approvals, advertising, shortlisting, interviews
• Identify training and development needs in collaboration with Program Leaders and Headquarters
• Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labor legislation, HR policies and procedures, including POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) requirements
• Support the Compliance team in addressing staff grievances and related employee matters
