India Tax Lead - Tax, APAC

About the role

We are looking for an experienced tax leader to own Stripe’s India tax agenda and serve as the principal tax partner for our business and entities in India.

What you'll do

• Manage India tax controversy, including risk assessment, audit and litigation strategy, responses to information requests and notices, engagement with tax authorities
• Identify emerging India tax risks and opportunities, maintain a clear view of exposures, and communicate recommendations and decisions to senior Tax
• Build and maintain robust India tax controls, documentation and processes, partnering with Accounting and other teams to ensure accurate
• Advise on India aspects of new products, commercial arrangements, entity and operating-model changes, product expansion
• Significant hands-on experience leading India tax audits, assessments, appeals or litigation
