Internal Auditor

About the role

Qualified or working towards ACA, ACCA, CIA or an equivalent relevant professional qualification. At least two years’ relevant internal or external audit experience, including practical experience of audit testing and documentation. A sound understanding of audit principles , risk management and internal controls; familiarity with SOX testing is desirable.

What you'll do

• Conduct process walkthroughs with process owners and contribute to risk assessments, with guidance from senior team members
• Test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls in assigned audit areas and prepare clear, evidence-based working papers for review
• Use audit management and SOX tools to maintain accurate testing records, supporting documentation and issue updates
• Support assurance reviews of strategic programmes and transformation initiatives by completing assigned testing of governance, risk management and key controls
• Draft clear audit findings and contribute to root-cause analysis and practical recommendations, supporting senior colleagues in agreeing management action plans
