About the role
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance backend applications. This role combines hands-on engineering with team leadership, overseeing a team of 4–8 developers while actively contributing to coding, architecture, and technical decision-making.
What you'll do
- Own the architecture and design of Java-based microservices and backend applications
- Define coding standards, design patterns, and best practices, and enforce them through code reviews
- Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies; drive modernization and technical-debt reduction
- Make sound trade-offs between performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
- Team leadership and mentoring
