About the role
A resident nurse is a registered nurse whose clinical experience after graduation is less than twelve (12) months. A resident nurse shall be hired for a specific unit and assigned a designated preceptor. It is an expectation that the period of residency will be a total of twelve (12) months with three (3) of those months actively working with a preceptor.
