Senior Accountant – Americas

About the role

This role delivers the accounting for the Americas from India. It is a US-qualified seat, created to build proper US accounting capability within the Group's India finance delivery center. In its first year the role also carries the closure accounting for the South and North American entities being wound down, Colombia, Mexico and Canada.

What you'll do

• US accounting and reporting US GAAP. Own the US books under US GAAP, including the monthly close
• Reporting. Prepare the US Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow, and convert or bridge to IFRS for Group consolidation on the reporting calendar
• Consolidation input. Deliver the Americas reporting pack to the Chief Accountant, India & Far East and the Head of Finance
• One version of the truth. Act as a reliable, independent source for the Americas numbers, cross-checking with the wider finance function and the Commercial Control Centre
• US tax and compliance Federal and state tax. Coordinate US federal and state tax filings
