Senior Associate, Country Legal - India

About the role

You will join the India legal team, led by the Legal Counsel and made up of 3–4 lawyers. The team provides integrated legal support across CIP’s Indian renewable energy portfolio, covering project contracts, financing, JV and shareholder matters, real estate and regulatory work, and corporate governance.

What you'll do

• Oversee transactions and workstreams end to end, act as a trusted adviser to the India business teams, and be a key point of contact for our global legal
• Also guide and review the work of junior team members and external counsel .The workload varies, so flexibility is expected from both sides
• We will support your learning and development, and you will have room to help shape the function
• Manage the drafting, negotiation and management of EPC, O&M, supply, and other construction and operations contracts for wind, solar and storage projects
• Lead legal workstreams on project financing and project development, including reviewing and negotiating financing, security creation and perfection documents
