About the role

The Lead Ecommerce Strategy will lead strategic commerce thinking across WPP Media’s Commerce clients, shaping how brands win across ecommerce marketplaces, quick commerce, retail media, niche platforms, and emerging commerce ecosystems. The role is responsible for translating complex platform, consumer, and commercial dynamics into clear strategic frameworks, growth roadmaps, and whitepapers..

What you'll do

• New business/pitches - Lead and convert pitch ratios for FMCG clients
• Existing clients - Lead commerce strategy development for our clients, including annual growth roadmaps, category expansion strategies, and FMCG playbooks
• Platforms - platform-specific playbooks across marketplaces, quick commerce, and other commerce formats
• Off platform - how to integrate and create synergy between online and off platform platforms
• Translate consumer behaviour, platform mechanics, and retail media signals into actionable strategic recommendations that drive market share, profitability
