About the role

The role involves system engineering, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, integration, testing, commissioning, and customer support. The selected candidate will initially be deployed at Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL) for SCADA and RTU Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) activities. Based on business requirements, the engineer may subsequently support other AMC sites and SCADA/automation projects across India or other locations.

What you'll do

  • Maintain and troubleshoot SCADA servers, applications, databases, workstations, ABB RTUs, and associated infrastructure
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot RTU/PLC communication with IEDs, numerical relays, meters, and field devices
  • Work with IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus TCP/IP, and other relevant substation communication protocols
  • Maintain industrial Ethernet networks, managed Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, routers, VLANs, and related OT connectivity
  • Perform SCADA database configuration, tag mapping, HMI/SLD updates, system integration, and feeder/substation integration
