About the role

The Senior AI Engineer is a hands-on technical leader who designs, builds and operationalizes advanced AI and machine-learning solutions on the McCain AI stack (Azure cloud; Anthropic foundation models; the Distyl agent harness including Distillery, Context Mesh and Refinery; Databricks for data and vector; SAP and Salesforce as systems of record).

What you'll do

  • Lead implementation of complex AI use cases from prototype through production deployment
  • Improve model performance, scalability and reliability across deployed solutions
  • Serve as a technical expert and informal mentor for AI Engineers
  • Lead or significantly contribute to design reviews and architecture discussions
  • Set the example for engineering discipline, testing rigour and operational excellence
