Tax Supervisor - Federal Credits and Incentives

About the role

As a Supervisor, SR&ED (Finance/Tax), you will assist clients with identifying, quantifying, documenting, and defending SR&ED claims while becoming a trusted advisor on SR&ED tax incentives and related government funding opportunities. You will assist a variety of clients with their SR&ED tax credit claims and become a trusted advisor through providing insightful best practices and immersing yourself in the diverse industries of our client base.

What you'll do

• Assist in identifying and quantifying eligible SR&ED expenditures, including salaries and wages, subcontractor costs, materials, capital and overhead expenditures
• This role supports finance/tax analysis and claim preparation rather than acting as a technical engineering or scientific lead
• Offer specialized advice on SR&ED tax credits and deductions, ensuring alignment with clients’ fiscal goals and tax reporting requirements
• Stay abreast of changes to SR&ED federal and provincial programs and other relevant tax incentives
• Comfortable with research as required, reviewing the Income Tax Act, CRA policies, and relevant case law
