UK Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced UK Accountant to manage bookkeeping and accounting activities for a portfolio of UK-based clients. In this remote, part-time opportunity, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with established UK accounting practices. You will handle daily bookkeeping, bank and ledger reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and year-end accounts preparation.

What you'll do

• Bookkeeping and Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records for UK-based clients using Xero
• Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions while ensuring client ledgers remain complete and properly organized
• Bank and Ledger Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
• Investigate discrepancies, identify inconsistencies, and implement appropriate corrections to maintain accurate financial records
• Accounts Receivable Management: Manage customer invoicing and incoming payments by raising sales invoices, recording receipts, monitoring outstanding balances
